covid protocols

These are our standard COVID protocols. We are happy to work with your Production Department / COVID Team to establish specific safety protocols for your project.


Sneeze screen
Drinks, nibbles, and cucumber water will be produced from behind and passed under a 1x1m ‘Sneeze Screen’ to the collecting crew member.

Add and stir
Shot Stop staff will add sugar, syrups, and any other additions.

Touch/transfer point mitigation
To minimise touch/transfer points, Shot Stop will not provide stirrers, sleeves, or 4-way trays. However, collecting crew members may use a dedicated department tray to load/carry their department’s drinks for their crew only – sanitising their hands before closing cups lids.

‘No lid - no touch’ butterfly cups (additional charge)
We can supply drinks in butterfly cups with an integral sleeve to reduce touch/transfer points for an additional charge. Once the drinks have been made, we will pass them to the collecting crew member under the sneeze screen. After sanitising their hands, the collecting crew member will fit lids to the cups.

Yellow floor arrows
We will place floor markers approximately two metres apart to indicate the required direction of service and help maintain appropriate social distancing.

Face masks
Face masks will be worn by all Baristas if required.

Regular hand washing
Baristas will wash their hand regularly using the coffee van’s onboard sink.

Regular hand sanitising
Baristas will regularly sanitise their hands using our supply of hand sanitiser.

Regular sanitising of equipment
Will be carried out by Barista(s) before the commencement of service and at timed intervals throughout the day.
