We undertake an annual taste test and the same coffee wins year after year, Lavazza Super Crema. It is a masterful blend of Arabica and Robusta beans combined with innovative roasting techniques to deliver a medium body with aromatic notes of hazelnut and brown sugar. And, for those looking for authentic espresso flavour without the buzz, our stand-in, Lavazza Decaffeinated, is always available as an alternative.

THE STAR OF THE SHOW

Espresso Solo

With a distinctive viscosity and crema, espresso is brewed by forcing nearly boiling water through carefully tamped and finely ground coffee beans at a high pressure. A shot of concentrated coffee aroma and flavour.

Double Espresso

A double-shot of espresso using twice the ground coffee and twice as much water. Go big or go home.

Ristretto

The short shot or half shot. A single basket of ground coffee, with half the water of an espresso – designed to deliver an intensified, fuller flavour, more body, more fruity notes and less bitterness.

Doppio

A double Ristretto – a double basket of coffee extracted with a single shot of water, so you get intense fruity notes, less bitterness and more body.

Cappuccino

A single or double espresso combined with an equivalent amount of hot milk and topped with around 20mm of steamed milk foam. Believe it or not, 'Kapuziner' originated in Vienna, Austria before evolving into the Italian 'Cappuccino' and taking the world by storm from the 1930s onwards.

Latte

The Italian breakfast icon; usually a single or double espresso combined with four times as much hot milk and topped with a thinner 10mm layer of steamed milk foam.

Americano

A single or double espresso diluted with hot water instead of milk, similar strength to traditionally brewed coffee, but maintaining that distinctive espresso taste. It supposedly gained its name from American GIs diluting coffee with hot water during the European campaigns of WWII. In Australia, it's known as a Long Black.

Mocha

Based on a single or double espresso mixed with plenty of hot milk, like a Latte, but with additional chocolate syrup and, if you have a really sweet tooth, sugar – plus that 10mm layer of steamed milk foam on top.

Macchiato

A single or double espresso ‘marked’ with a small amount of microfoam, designed to moderate the intensity of the espresso flavour and add a touch of milky sweetness.

Cortado

This Spanish variant sees a single or double espresso ‘cut’ with the same amount of hot, but not steam-textured, milk – and no froth.

Flat White

An Australasian export, related to the Latte and Cortado, equal parts espresso and milk – but using steam textured milk and topped with a very thin ‘flat’ layer of milk foam.

From the rich, malty boldness of Assam, to the refined floral and citrus notes of Earl & Lady Grey; from the distinguished elegance of Darjeeling to the welcoming familiarity of English Breakfast or the full-bodied heartyness of Yorkshire – and a whole suite of fruity and herbal infusions. If tea is your thing, we've got what you're looking for.

HOT CHOCOLATE

If you are looking for a cuddle in a cup, when coffee or tea just won't deliver the plump-pillow, duvet-soft, snuggle-up niceness; prepare yourself for some seriously chocolatey indulgence. Supermarket instant hot chocolate this is definitely not.

THE COLD CREW

It isn't cold and rainy every day and making movies can be thirsty work, especially working under the glare of studio lights. Sometimes you just need the refreshment of a long cool drink. So, pull up a chair and take your pick: Iced Coffee, Frappé, Iced Tea, Milkshakes, Smoothies, or iced cucumber and lemon water. Ahhhh! That’s better.

The supporting cast

MILKS

Dairy or not, here we come: full-fat, semi-skimmed, or skimmed cows milk; plus Oat, Coconut, Almond and Soya plant-based milks. If the demand is there, we'll happily add other milks, such as goats or pea, to our menu.

EXTRAS

Dress it up however you want: flavoured syrups, whipped cream, chocolate or cinnamon dusting, honey, various sugars and sweeteners, even little marshmallows, oreo bites or 'hundreds and thousands' sprinkles.

Shots & Slings

Our shots and slings are renowned. Ginger shots, our finely-honed combination of freshly juiced ginger, apple, and lemon, provide a healthy kick-start with no caffeine. The “Shot Stop Sling” is our secret recipe including muddled slices of fresh lemon, lime and ginger, fresh mint, fresh chilli, agave, or honey – served hot or iced, depending on the weather. Irresistible.
